As a result, the sector remained underdeveloped and its potential largely untapped. However, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and guided by the philosophy of Medemer (synergy), the government has placed renewed and strategic emphasis on tourism development. These efforts are reversing years of neglect and transforming the sector into one marked by visible progress and growing impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across various regions of Ethiopia, comprehensive tourism development initiatives are underway, revitalizing long-forgotten natural landscapes and historical sites and turning them into significant sources of income.
