In a statement shared on his official social media platform, the Prime Minister noted that the flagship project, located in the Somali Region, stands as a cornerstone of Ethiopia\u2019s efforts to build a resilient and sustainable power system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“With an annual generation capacity of 467 gigawatt-hours (GWh), Aysha-II delivers the reliable, scalable energy infrastructure required to support a modern, technology-driven economy,” said Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beyond its impressive capacity, the Aysha plains offer a strategic geographic advantage, ranking among East Africa\u2019s premier wind corridors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project\u2019s proximity to neighboring countries further positions Ethiopia as an emerging regional hub for cross-border energy trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
