Notably, prominent athletes took part, and winners received prizes of up to 600,000 birr, enhancing the financial benefits available to participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seleshi also pointed out that events such as the Great Ethiopian Run, along with regional road races, are increasingly serving as alternative competitive platforms.
