In addition to the budget proposal, the Council approved the Medium-Term Macroeconomic Fiscal Framework, which will guide fiscal policy and serve as the foundation for upcoming budget planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following deliberations, the Council unanimously endorsed both the framework and the budget proposal, forwarding them to the House of Peoples\u2019 Representatives for final approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The amount of Ethiopian federal budget for the 2025\/2026 fiscal year (EFY 2018) stood initially at 1.93 trillion Birr (approximately $14.6 billion).
