In a social media post, Mayor of Addis Ababa Adanech Abiebie highlighted the ongoing major corridor development projects across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Early this morning, we reviewed the performance of the 13.4-kilometer corridor development projects, which we launched under the third phase,” the mayor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The corridor development is being carried out across five designated routes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route 1: From Bole Medhanialem to Golagol (connecting the Bole Atlas road with the Meskel Square-Megenagna road).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route 2: From Golagol to the British Embassy (connecting the Kebena-Megenagna road with the Meskel Square-Megenagna road).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route 3: From Bole Secondary School through MOENCO to Bole Megenagna road (connecting the Bole Atlas road with the Bole Megenagna road).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route 4: From Imperial through Adey Ababa Stadium to Shala Recreational Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Route 5: From Wuha Limat through Atlas, and from Atlas to Bole Rwanda (connecting the Bole Atlas road with the Meskel Square-Megenagna road).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These projects are being constructed to significantly expand the road network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are designed to accommodate commercial establishments and feature wide pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, and convenient setups for public transport services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the project incorporates numerous public utility and service facilities, and the construction process is progressing smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around the Adey Ababa Stadium, efforts have been intensified to ensure that previously initiated corridor and other infrastructure developments are completed with speed and high quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the corridor development, work is underway to repurpose land for public service. This refers to areas that had been neglected for ages, unlawfully occupied by individuals, and subjected to severe degradation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intensive efforts are being made to fully complete these projects by the end of June to make them ready for public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
