In a statement released on her official social media platform this evening, Addis Ababa City Mayor Adanech Abiebie stated that the city administration’s leadership reviewed the effectiveness of the election work carried out during the electoral process and the post-election activities undertaken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Today, together with all city leaders, we reviewed the outcomes achieved in our election performance and assessed the effective implementation of post-election activities aimed at fully realizing our goals,” the mayor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She noted that despite various media campaigns, destabilization attempts, and provocations orchestrated through internal and external collaboration to disrupt the successful conduct of the 7th General Election, those efforts failed. Instead, Ethiopia successfully held a democratic, peaceful, and credible election that marked a significant milestone in the country’s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ethiopians have written a new chapter in history through their resilience. Ethiopia has voted, and Ethiopia has won,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mayor stated that leaders had reached a consensus that the highly successful and historic election was a testament to their collective commitment to building a democratic system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She emphasized that the achievement was a shared victory made possible through the contributions of all stakeholders, including the public, government leadership, party members, supporters, civic organizations, the media, competing political parties, the security apparatus, and the National Election Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She noted that these stakeholders fulfilled their significant national responsibilities with discipline and neutrality, demonstrating a strong commitment to democratic principles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mayor expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their contributions to the successful conduct of the election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
