Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie announced in a social media post this afternoon that the housing projects launched by the city administration two months ago in Addis Ketema Sub-city, particularly in the area known as Ketel Tera, are progressing at an impressive pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday, we visited the site to inspect the progress of the construction works and observed that the buildings whose construction began two months ago have already reached the ninth floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The buildings that were launched this month as part of the site’s redevelopment have also reached the fourth and fifth floors. In addition, the three buildings that were added two weeks ago following a review of the project’s progress are advancing well,\u201d the Mayor stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Mayor, the development is not limited to housing construction. The project also incorporates commercial centers, security facilities, schools, health institutions, sports facilities, children’s playgrounds, and other social and public service amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTherefore, we are not only building houses, but also creating a comfortable, clean, and modern environment where children can grow up safely, young people can develop their physical and mental abilities, and residents can access essential services while preserving their dignity,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mayor further explained that the Ketel Tera development will be integrated with the Gedam neighborhood project launched yesterday and the Talian neighborhood located between the two areas. Together, these projects will transform the area into a modern urban community while creating significant employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Adanech emphasized that the uninterrupted progress of the projects during the election season demonstrates the city administration\u2019s commitment to serving residents faithfully under all circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She concluded by expressing her appreciation to city leaders, employees, community associations, contractors, and all stakeholders working diligently to ensure the projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
