class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AMN Plus-July 22, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh has arrived in Accra, Ghana, to participate in the African Union Emergency Health Summit, a high-level gathering aimed at strengthening the continent&#8217;s health systems and enhancing Africa&#8217;s collective preparedness for current and future public health challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a message shared on his official social media page, the Deputy Prime Minister described Accra as one of the birthplaces of the Pan-African movement and the home of the renowned Pan-African leader Kwame Nkrumah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Temesgen noted the city&#8217;s historic significance as African leaders convene to advance a shared vision for a healthier and more resilient continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Temesgen, the summit will focus on reinforcing Africa&#8217;s healthcare systems while exploring strategic and coordinated approaches to preventing and combating both communicable and non-communicable diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The discussions will bring together heads of state, policymakers, health experts, and key stakeholders to develop practical solutions that promote sustainable health security across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon his arrival at Accra&#8217;s international airport, Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh was warmly welcomed by Ghana&#8217;s Minister of Foreign Affairs and senior government officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img
