significant transformation through corridor development, urban redevelopment and riverside projects, with improvements in infrastructure, cleanliness and urban aesthetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Roads have been widened and street lighting expanded, while dedicated pedestrian walkways and bicycle lanes have been developed across the city.Parking facilities have also been expanded in various locations, helping avoid roadside parking, improve traffic flow and enhance the overall appearance of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Mayor\u2019s Office, Addis Ababa\u2019s green coverage has increased from 2.8 percent to 24 percent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The city has also gained recognition as one of Africa\u2019s ten cleanest cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The improvements in infrastructure and urban services are contributing to the city\u2019s growing capacity to host international conferences, meetings and visitors, while further strengthening its role as a diplomatic hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" has also significantly reduced its urban slum areas, bringing the proportion down from 74 percent to 30 percent.Despite the progress achieved, the Mayor\u2019s Office says further work is needed to
