Members of the regional council unanimously endorsed his reappointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shimelis Abdisa has served as president of the regional state for the past seven years. Following the endorsement of his reappointment, he was sworn in for another term in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his inaugural speech, President Shimelis reaffirmed his government\u2019s commitment to delivering on the promises it has made to the people, with greater effectiveness and determination than ever before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also reiterated his administration\u2019s commitment to building a strong, prosperous, united, and sustainable Oromia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe made a commitment to work with dedication to ensure that truth, justice, and the interests of our people are upheld,\u201d the president said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Leta Teresa<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMN PLUS-September 28, 2026 Chaffe Oromia, has re-appointed Shimelis Abdisa as President of the Oromia Regional State.
