This was announced by Terefe Bedada, Director of Public Relations and Communications at the House of Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Director, an orientation was provided to members of the House on October 4, 2026 explaining the procedures and working methods of the House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terefe further stated that during the session, in accordance with Article 62(11) of the Constitution and the amended House of Federation Proclamation No. 1261\/2013:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-The Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House will be elected;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-Members of the standing committees will be elected; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-Members who will represent the House in the Council of Constitutional Inquiry will be designated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AMN PLUS-October 5, 2026 The House of Federation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) will hold the first regular session of the first working year of the 7th parliamentary term today, October 05, 2026.
