The facility was established through a partnership between Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) and Sam Precious Metals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a message shared on his official social media account, the Prime Minister said the refinery has the capacity to process more than 600 tonnes of precious metals annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He described the facility as a major milestone in promoting domestic value addition, strengthening Ethiopia\u2019s mining sector, and positioning the country as a regional hub for precious-metals refining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abiy noted that the initiative reflects the Medemer government\u2019s commitment to integrating the country\u2019s natural resources with industrial capacity.
