The federal government is making concerted efforts to swiftly restore basic services disrupted in the Tigray Regional State by the TPLF, an illegal group, enabling the public to return to normal life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, efforts to rapidly repair infrastructure and resume services have resulted in the restoration of electricity, telecommunications, water supply, banking, and air transport services within a short period. These efforts demonstrate the government\u2019s commitment to the safety, well-being, and peace of the people, as well as its determination to fulfill its responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The swift restoration of infrastructure and services has not only provided social and economic relief to the public but has also laid a strong foundation for building a peaceful and democratic future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel, the rapid establishment and commencement of operations of an caretaker administration in Tigray has marked a significant step toward upholding the rule of law, maintaining public services, and achieving political stability in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Above all, the upcoming elections have opened up broader opportunities for the people of Tigray to determine their own future and fully exercise political ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorable conditions have been created for the public to freely and democratically elect the leaders and political parties they believe will best serve their interests, without any undue influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process represents a historic and decisive step toward renewing the people\u2019s hopes for the future, healing past wounds in a lasting manner, and establishing sustainable peace, development, and inclusive democracy in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having suffered significant losses as a result of conflict, the people of Tigray have a fundamental right to enjoy peace, rebuild their lives, see their cities flourish, and benefit from modern development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanding corridor development and urban modernization projects, which are being implemented in other parts of the country, to Tigray would make a significant contribution to accelerating the region\u2019s economic recovery, creating jobs, and attracting investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, improved urban environments and modern infrastructure would help the public recover more quickly from the scars of war and psychological distress, renew their hopes for the future, and experience the tangible benefits of peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
