MIDROC Investment Group held its annual Family Day and Employee Recognition Program for the 2018 E.C. Fiscal Year.
During the event, employees and members of the management who achieved outstanding performance were recognized and awarded.
The company was also praised for its improved performance during the fiscal year, producing products through its various companies that contribute to the country’s economic development.
According to the report presented at the event, MIDROC Investment Group generated 67 billion birr in production value during the concluded fiscal year, marking a 52% increase compared to the same period last year.
The company also earned $390.5 million in export revenue from its products, particularly from the mining, agro-processing, and other service sectors.

MIDROC Investment Group, which provides employment opportunities for nearly 80,000 people, also undertakes various activities as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, it was learned.
The company announced that it would allocate 10% of its annual profit to various charitable and community-support activities.
In addition, the Investment Group paid 31 billion birr in taxes to the government from its revenues, as part of its financial obligations.
The recognition and appreciation ceremony was attended by Jamal Ahmed, CEO of MIDROC Investment Group, along with other company executives and officials.
