Foreign tourists who attended the Hora Finfinnee Irreecha celebration expressed their admiration for the festival’s vibrant observance and hospitality of the Ethiopian people. They also expressed their amazement at Addis Ababa’s rapid transformation.
A visitor from the Netherlands, who attended the festival for the first time, told AMN Digital that the joy witnessed during the celebration, the beauty of Oromo culture, the love and hospitality shown by the people, as well as the beauty of the traditional attire, exceeded their expectations and made the occasion an unforgettable experience.
They added that they had visited Addis Ababa a few years ago and, comparing the city then with what they see today, noted that Addis Ababa has been changing rapidly and becoming increasingly modern. They also said that the city deserves this significant level of development.
Other foreign visitors, for their part, noted that the construction and development activities taking place across the city are progressing at a remarkable pace, distinguishing Addis Ababa from other major cities around the world. They said these developments are rapidly transforming the city’s appearance.
The foreign visitors who attended the Irreecha celebration also expressed their appreciation for the festival, describing it as a celebration of gratitude and peace. They extended their best wishes for Irreecha to be a meaningful and joyful celebration of gratitude for the people and the country.
