The historic decision taken to complete the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam stands as a monumental national struggle in which Ethiopians, undeterred by diplomatic pressure and internal challenges, united to build a shared national truth and aspiration. The reform-era government has taken the lead—without wavering, in fulfilling Ethiopians’ generations-long ambition to harness the Abbay River. This has also been recorded as a landmark event through which Ethiopia reaffirmed its voice, dignity, and prominence on the international stage. On the other hand, the ray of hope ignited by the nearing completion of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam has created momentum for the acceleration of projects designed to align Ethiopia’s cities with the future.
CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT
Another milestone is the corridor development which enabled Ethiopia’s cities to be rebuilt with a new and modern identity.
By incorporating pedestrian walkways, bicycle lanes, and public recreational spaces, Ethiopian cities have awakened from decades of stagnation.
By modernizing their earlier foundations in ways that suit the times, they have elevated urban civilization and become exemplary landmarks often cited by fellow Africans.
AGRICULTURE
In Agriculture sector, the success registered in increasing wheat productivity has become a victory that has helped shift Ethiopia from dependency and aid-seeking toward self-reliance and contribution.

The initiative of launching domestic fertilizer production will further reinforce the gains already achieved in the agricultural sector.
