Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebie, has officially launched the Ethio-Italian Construction, Infrastructure, and Urban Redevelopment Forum in the presence of ministers and Maria Tripodi, Deputy Minister of Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
In a message shared on her official social media page, Mayor Adanech Abiebie stated that Addis Ababa is currently witnessing a vibrant surge in trade and a notable increase in investment inflows.
The Mayor emphasized that, in light of the city’s rapid transformation, the Ethio-Italian Construction, Infrastructure, and Urban Redevelopment Forum comes at a particularly timely and important moment.
The Mayor reaffirmed that the Addis Ababa City Administration remains firmly committed to supporting the private sector and creating broader opportunities for investment.
Addressing Italian partners, Mayor Adanech extended a warm invitation, saying:
“To our Italian partners: I warmly invite you to invest in this dynamic and evolving landscape.”
The Mayor further noted that beyond its visible physical transformation, Addis Ababa has evolved into a more efficient and business-friendly city. Through the introduction of modern systems, including the Mesob One-Stop Digital Government Service, the city administration has made doing business in the capital more seamless and accessible than ever before.
Finally, the Mayor extended her best wishes to all participants for a fruitful forum and a pleasant stay in Addis Ababa.
