AMN PLUS-February 24/2026
Preparations are being finalized to launch the country’s first mobile Mesob One-Stop Service in Addis Ababa.
It is to be remembered that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed(PhD), in his address to the House of People’s Representatives, emphasized the need to introduce a mobile office in addition to the regular Mesob service centers.
Accordingly, Mesob services will no longer be confined to a single office location.
In an interview with AMN Digital, Yonas Alemayehu, Director General of Addis Mesob One Center Digital Government Service noted that the mobile service is designed to provide inclusive and comprehensive government services, expressing the importance of expanding its reach to various areas across the city.

The Director General stated that the initiative aims to reach citizens who face difficulties accessing government offices, particularly those unable to travel far from their homes.
Yonas explained that large electric vehicles have been prepared for the mobile Mesob One Stop-Service. The design phase has been completed, and mechanical modification work is currently underway. The buses are equipped with office facilities inside, enabling staff to deliver multiple government services in one location.
The director further confirmed that Addis Ababa will launch its first smart Mesob mobile service within the next 20 to 25 days.
