Beyond its role as Africa’s diplomatic capital, Addis Ababa is steadily unlocking its potential to become a leading hub of innovation, culture, commerce, and modern urban living—shaping a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
To achieve this sustainably, Addis Ababa is implementing effective development initiatives by integrating its efforts with urban planning, culture and tourism, youth employment, digital services, and sustainable development.
This development process is also being supported by inclusive and sustainable growth that responds to people’s needs, protects environmental resources, and creates opportunities for everyone.
Addis Ababa works 24/7 to meet today’s needs and expand tomorrow’s opportunities. When this capacity is supported by committed leadership, coordinated governance, and citizen participation, the city will continue not only to improve the quality of life for its residents but also to share its experiences and lessons with other cities.
