Deputy PM Temesgen Tiruneh has Arrived in Benishangul-Gumuz Region to Review Development Projects.
Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Temesgen Tiruneh, announced this morning on his official social media platform that he has arrived in the Benishangul-Gumuz Region for an official visit to review ongoing development projects.

In his message, he described the region as “the land of the patriot and hero of the West, Sheik Hojole,” and underscored its considerable potential, citing its fertile agricultural land, abundant gold resources, and longstanding culture of peaceful coexistence.
The Deputy Prime Minister further noted that the region is home to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which he characterized as a cornerstone of Ethiopia’s development, a symbol of national unity, and a key hub for renewable energy generation.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended to him and his delegation, stating, “Your remarkable hospitality, accompanied by the traditional musical instrument Zumbara, has filled us with great joy.”

Temesgen also extended his gratitude to regional leaders, including the president of Benishangul-Gumuz, cabinet members, religious leaders, elders, and residents of Asosa town, for welcoming the delegation upon their arrival at Asosa Renaissance Airport.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the visit will include tours of various development projects currently underway in the region.
