Diplomats, International Dev’t Organizations Witness Ethiopia’s Investment Opportunities in Manufacturing, Digital Economy, Agriculture, and Tourism Sectors

More than 80 embassies, international development partner organizations, and diplomats based in Addis Ababa conducted a field visit to various investment projects under a program organized by the Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The one-day field observation and visit program aimed to showcase Ethiopia’s improving investment climate, government support mechanisms, and ongoing projects in key economic sectors through firsthand experience.

During the visit, participants toured several investment destinations developed by both the government and the private sector. These included the ICT Park, Bole Lemi Industrial Park, and Kilinto Industrial Park, as well as private-sector-led projects developed by AMG Holdings and Joy Tech Business Group. Throughout the tour, participants closely international development partner organizations, and diplomats observed the country’s potential opportunities and ongoing developments in the manufacturing industry, technology and digital economy, agriculture, and tourism sectors.

The Ethiopian Investment Commission stated that it continues to work in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic community, and international partner institutions to attract quality foreign direct investment into the country.

According to the Commission, such field visits play a significant role in correcting misconceptions about the country, demonstrating the reality on the ground, and creating effective investment partnerships.
