In a message shared on her official social media page, Mayor of Addis Ababa Adanech Abiebie said, “Our visit to Bishoftu yesterday was truly remarkable.”
The Mayor noted that the construction of the Bishoftu International Airport, the largest aviation project in Africa, is an immensely impressive undertaking and a testament to Ethiopia’s bold development ambitions.
She further described the launch of this year’s Green Legacy Initiative under the theme, “Let’s Plant Hope,” as equally historic, marking the beginning of the nation’s ambitious effort to plant 8 billion seedlings across the country this year.
