Türkiye’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) has conveyed an official congratulatory message to Ethiopia’s Prosperity Party following its victory in the country’s 7th General Election.
In an official letter addressed to Prosperity Party Vice President Adem Farah, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Foreign Relations Zafer Sırakaya extended his congratulations on the election outcome.
He expressed his sincere hope that the result would contribute to lasting peace, prosperity, and security for the friendly people of Ethiopia.
In the letter, Sırakaya also stated his confidence that, under the leadership and tireless efforts of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD), Ethiopia would continue strengthening its journey toward stability, sustainable development, and inclusive growth.
He further noted, “We attach great importance to the strong relationship and cooperation established between our two parties. We believe that the Memorandum of Understanding signed on September 30, 2025, has laid a solid foundation for further enhancing relations between our parties.”
He also expressed his appreciation for the constructive approach and positive cooperation demonstrated by the Prosperity Party.
The letter concluded by expressing confidence that the renewed mandate granted by the Ethiopian people to the Prosperity Party would create additional opportunities to further strengthen the long-standing friendship and cooperation not only between the two parties but also between Ethiopia and Türkiye.
