Ethiopia’s National Dialogue Conference is making steady and successful progress, according to the Chief Commissioner of the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission, Professor Mesfin Araya.
Speaking at a press briefing, Prof. Mesfin said participants are actively engaged in constructive group discussions on the agendas adopted for the conference. He noted that the deliberations have been conducted in an open, inclusive, and orderly manner, with participants freely expressing their views and perspectives.
The Chief Commissioner emphasized that the ongoing discussions are expected to establish a strong foundation for the next phase of Ethiopia’s national dialogue process, which aims to build broader consensus on key national issues.
He also called on the public to remain vigilant against misinformation and unverified reports circulating on social media. Prof. Mesfin urged citizens to rely exclusively on official updates and announcements issued by the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission for accurate information.
Ethiopia’s National Dialogue Conference has been underway since July 15, 2026, bringing together participants from across the country to discuss major national issues through dialogue and consensus-building, according to ENA.
