Addis Ababa, the diplomatic hub of Africa, has taken on an attractive new look through extensive corridor development, riverside development, and urban redevelopment projects carried out over the past few years.
Riverside areas that were previously exposed to waste dumping and served as hiding places for criminals have been cleaned up and transformed into beautiful and attractive spaces suitable for public recreation and leisure.
In addition, the city has been able to reduce diseases associated with environmental pollution, while sustainable economic growth and employment opportunities are being created.

Major roads, bicycle lanes, spacious and clean pedestrian walkways, and improved drainage systems, which are among the visible signs of the transformation, have helped the city move away from its former urban conditions and become more conducive to modern living.
As part of the tangible development works, solar-powered streetlights, modern traffic control systems, and parking facilities have also been installed across various parts of the city.
Furthermore, modern residential areas and service facilities suitable for residents and visitors have been developed. Museums, parks, historical sites, and cultural centers have also contributed to transforming the city’s appearance through the renovation of existing facilities and the construction of new ones.

As the city becomes increasingly competitive internationally and more conducive to living, it is attracting the attention of both domestic and international visitors.
According to Addis Ababa tourism information, the capital now offers a wide range of options that enable tourists to stay for longer periods.
The city also has conference centers where international meetings and gatherings are held.
