Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has emphasized unity and collective action as key to building the country’s prosperous future, marking Pagume’s Day of Harmony.
In a message on X, Abiy said Ethiopia is shaping its future by drawing on indigenous values and the philosophy of Medemer (synergy), which he described as a foundation for multinational unity.
He said Ethiopia’s recent initiatives demonstrate how unity can transform shared aspirations into collective achievements, citing the national dialogue, human-centred corridor development, volunteer programs and the Green Legacy Initiative.
Abiy stressed that Ethiopia’s path to an inclusive and economically self-reliant nation depends on unlocking the collective potential of its people and moving forward together.
