According to the Addis Ababa City Mayor’s Office, Jemalu Jember Bekele (PhD) has been appointed Head of the Addis Ababa Prosperity Party Branch Office with the rank of Deputy Mayor.
Jemal Jember Bekele (PhD) has served in various positions at the Addis Ababa City Administration since 2023. These include Head of the Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau with the rank of Deputy Mayor; Deputy Head of the Transport Bureau; Commissioner of the Community Participation and Voluntarism Coordination Commission; Head of the Youth and Sports Bureau; Head of the Job Creation and Enterprise Development Bureau; and General Manager of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing and Control Authority.
