The Ethiopia–Korea Business Forum has been held in Addis Ababa.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission Dagato Kumbe, stated that Ethiopia and Korea have enjoyed a longstanding partnership.
Deputy Commissioner noted that Korea, which once faced the devastations of war, has now reached a level of remarkable investment and industrial transformation, becoming an example for African countries like Ethiopia that are striving for development.
Dagato also highlighted that Ethiopia–Korea Business Forum will help strengthen the investment partnership between the two countries, reaffirming the EIC’s readiness to provide the necessary support for Korean investors engaging in Ethiopia.
The forum was organised through the collaboration of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Korea in Ethiopia, and was attended by members of the Korean Specialty Contractors Association.
During the forum, the Ethiopian Investment Commission delivered a presentation outlining Ethiopia’s investment opportunities.
The Korean Specialty Contractors Association comprises more than 60,000 construction-related companies and employs over 1.6 million professionals across its operations.
