The completion of new development projects in Addis Ababa and their opening for public use has gone beyond being mere news and is increasingly becoming part of the city administration’s culture.

The visible transformation underway in the capital has not only impressed residents but has also attracted admiration from visiting guests and senior government officials from other countries, many of whom describe the city’s renewed beauty as remarkable.

Njoroge Muchiri, Deputy Governor of Nairobi City, is among the senior officials who recently paid an official visit to Addis Ababa, Africa’s diplomatic capital

During his visit, Njoroge Muchiri toured the city’s riverside development project and other ongoing development works.

Sharing his observations, the Deputy Governor stated that the riverside development is highly impressive and serves as a model and reference for cities across Africa.

Njoroge Muchiri reaffirmed that the project is exceptionally attractive and represents an outstanding example that can be replicated in other cities, including Nairobi.

“For this achievement, the city administration and the country’s leadership deserve appreciation,” the deputy governor of Nairobi said.

Njoroge Muchiri further noted that rivers in Nairobi City are polluted and visually unappealing, adding that his visit to Addis Ababa provided valuable lessons and insights that could support similar river development initiatives in Nairobi.

Speaking on the broader development efforts, the Deputy Governor emphasized that the projects implemented in Addis Ababa have significantly transformed the lifestyle of the community.

Njoroge Muchiri also highlighted that the fact these projects were financed through taxes collected from city residents is particularly encouraging.
