The military is strong and resolute, unwilling to compromise with anyone when it comes to the survival and sovereignty of its country. It is capable of carrying out its assigned missions with perseverance and determination.
The heroic Ethiopian National Defense Force, undeterred by the heat of the day, the cold of the night, or steep and difficult terrain, stands as a symbol of heroism, steadfastly striving for the honor of its country and its people.
The military is working with a vision to keep pace with the scientific and technological advances achieved around the world. It is also building the capacity and capability that enable it to reliably accomplish its assigned missions within a short period of time.
Various branches of the military, including the Air Force, are currently equipped with modern military equipment capable of effectively safeguarding peace and security not only in the country but also in the region.
The military’s successful engagement in various peacekeeping missions abroad and its effective execution of the responsibilities assigned to it also demonstrate its capability and capacity.
The secret behind the Ethiopian National Defense Force’s victories is its support and solidarity with the people. The peoples of Ethiopia also have great respect for the heroic National Defense Force.
Beyond the modern weapons and technology with which it is equipped, the military’s strength lies in the morale built on the love of the people and the confidence it has in its capabilities.
Through this popular and national support and patriotism, the military has, at various times, not only thwarted the enemy’s malicious objectives but also upheld the country’s sovereignty and contributed to the establishment of a strong nation-state.
This military, which has emerged from the people and is primarily committed to the objective of protecting the country, is steadfast and cannot be swayed by false propaganda disseminated by the enemy, and fabricated narratives, or distorted by predictions about the past or the future.
Just as it has done in the past, the military remains today in a position to swiftly repel any provocations that threaten Ethiopia’s national interests and security. This is a source of great pride for Ethiopia and its people.
