Infrastructure developments carried out through the corridor and riverside projects have not only turned darkness into light but have also added significant beauty and brightness to the city, Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie said.
Speaking about the corridor development linking Urael to Bole Medhanealem and the Bole VIP Terminal, the mayor stated that numerous infrastructure works carried out under the corridor and riverside projects have created conducive, healthy, clean, and well-organized living environments.
The Mayor noted that residents who have witnessed these changes are increasingly improving waste disposal practices in the areas where corridor development projects have been implemented.
Adanech Abiebie said that, in tandem with the corridor development, residents of the city are gradually adapting their lifestyles to the changing urban environment.
City residents are playing their part in maintaining cleanliness by properly using garbage bins installed along the corridor development areas.
“What we are doing is not about creating a glittering city, but about removing darkness so that our residents can live in a healthier and more conducive environment,” said Adanech Abiebie.
