According to a message posted on the official social media page of the Mayor of Addis Ababa, the city administration held extensive public discussions with residents earlier this morning.
The Mayor explained that the discussions took place across all sub-cities of Addis Ababa.
Mayor Adanech Abiebie stated that representatives from various segments of society including religious fathers , elders, youth, women, the business community, investors, and scholars, actively participated in the discussions.

Speaking at the forum, the Mayor reaffirmed that in previous public meetings, residents had raised questions, complaints, and suggestions, all of which were addressed with practical and timely responses. Mayor noted that today’s discussions followed the same transparent and responsive approach.
The public forum was led by ministers and senior leaders of the city administration, who listened to the concerns raised by participants and provided detailed explanations and answers during the session.
Mayor Adanech highlighted that the remarkable progress achieved in recent reform years is the result of strong coordination and partnership between the government and the people of Addis Ababa.

“Today’s forum once again served as a fruitful platform through which we strengthened government–public cooperation and laid the groundwork for upcoming joint plans that will further enhance public participation in our city,” the Mayor said.
Finally, Adanech expressed her heartfelt gratitude on her self and on behalf of the city administration to the residents for their constructive comments, active participation, and valuable time dedicated to the public forum.
