Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has held discussions with former and current leaders focusing on ways how to extricate people from poverty.
The leaders have visited developmental projects underway in Bale and its surroundings for three consecutive days.
The former and the incumbent leaders have held a historical dialogue in side the newly revamped sof omar cave recently.
Opening the dialogue Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said, “I have visited many places in the world but I haven’t ever seen the place like Bale and its landscapes in my life”
Stating this, the Prime Minister has asked the former and current leaders to reflect their views about the potentials of Bale and its environs.
Participant of the sof omar dialogue, former leader Abadula Gemeda said Bale is an area where everything is available. The former leader further stated that instead of taking advantage of such a blessing potential of the area, the youth have migrated to foreign countries and living in difficult conditions.
Moreover, In a discussion held in side the Sof Omar Cave, Abadula Gemeda stated Ethiopia has untapped potential resources waiting to be exploited and used for prospering the nation. Therefore, it is completely inappropriate for the people to engage in unnecessary disputes and conflicts instead of utilizing the untapped resources found in the country.
The former leader urged the youth to sustain the ongoing mega development works being constructed in the country to extricate people from poverty.
