The Mayor held discussions with Ruslan Nasibov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ethiopia, and Oumar Sylla, UN-HABITAT Regional Director for Africa, on ways for Addis Ababa to share and showcase its experiences at the World Urban Forum to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Mayor Adanech highlighted that the forum will offer a significant opportunity for Addis Ababa to present its urban development achievements to the international community, while enhancing the city’s global visibility and engagement.
The Mayor further emphasized that the discussions focused on identifying best practices and lessons that Ethiopia can learn from Baku’s experience in preparation for hosting the upcoming global Climate Change Conference (COP 32).
The Mayor reaffirmed that the city administration will continue to strengthen efforts to make Addis Ababa a model of prosperity and a hub for international summits and global engagement.
