President Taye Atske-Selassie Receives Credentials from 11 Newly Appointed Ambassadors

Ethiopian President Taye Atske-Selassie has received the letters of credence from 11 newly appointed ambassadors accredited to Ethiopia, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and international cooperation.

The ambassadors represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of the Congo, Portugal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Ghana, Uruguay, Slovakia, Madagascar, and Uzbekistan.

Upon their arrival at the presidential palace, the diplomats were accorded a ceremonial welcome that included a guard of honor and the playing of their respective national anthems by a military band, reflecting Ethiopia’s longstanding diplomatic traditions and respect for international partnerships.

Following the credential presentation ceremony, each ambassador held separate discussions with President Taye Atske-Selassie. The talks focused on further enhancing existing bilateral relations, expanding cooperation in key sectors, and identifying new opportunities for collaboration between Ethiopia and their respective countries.
