AMN Plus-February 16/2026
The 9th Africa Business Forum is scheduled for
February 16–17, 2026, at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa. It will focus on accelerating investment in regional value chains, including agribusiness, livestock, and pharmaceuticals, alongside discussions on sustainable growth, digital transformation, and strengthening public-private partnerships across the continent.
The forum is organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the African Union Commission and other stakeholders.
This year’s forum will be held under the theme: “Financing the future of Africa: Jobs and Innovation for Sustainable Transformation.”
The continental gathering will bring together African leaders, investors, private sector actors, and development partners to explore ways of strengthening partnerships and boosting investment across the continent. Discussions will particularly focus on enhancing public-private partnerships and expanding access to finance so as to drive sustainable growth.
The two-day event will feature a series of high-level sessions and expert discussions with African leaders and key stakeholders. An exhibition will also be organized to connect small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and innovators with investors and financiers, creating opportunities to translate ideas into viable economic projects.
The forum is expected to help transform commitments into tangible economic outcomes and play a strategic role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2063.
