Mayor of Addis Ababa City, Adanech Abiebie has presented the ongoing and completed corridor and riverside development projects to the council.
Addressing the Council, the Mayor said the mega projects are enhancing the global competitiveness, transforming the city’s landscape, and making it a more attractive and accessible destination for both residents and tourists.
Presenting the corridor and riverside development projects to the council, the Mayor stated eight riverside development projects covering 48 km is underway in Addis Ababa.

According to the report, the following corridors have been completed and opened to the public currently.
Arat Killo-Shiromeda corridor
Sawzget – Megena – Meskel Square corridor
Sarbet – Karl Square – Abo mazoria – Lafto -Furi corridor
CMC – Semit – Goro – Bole VIP corridor

Moreover, Mayor Adanech highlighted that eight riverside development projects covering 48 km spanning 3,000 hectares of land are currently underway.
Specifically, the 25 km Entoto Peacock-Karamara Dildey, the 20 km Kebena Ginfil corridor, and the Qurtumi riverside are being developed as beautiful, healthy, and tourist-friendly destinations.
Speaking to the council, Mayor Adanech said Arada Park, Arat Killo-park, Arada Park, market center as well as the Del Plaza car park have been completed and are ready to serve the public.
