Ambassadors from various countries based in Addis Ababa have praised the ongoing corridor and major development projects in the city, noting that they demonstrate a remarkable transformation of the capital.
The diplomats emphasized that the significant progress achieved within a short period is truly outstanding.
They observed that Addis Ababa has evolved into a more comfortable, modern, and visually appealing city for both residents and visitors.
They further highlighted that such transformation should be expanded to other cities across Ethiopia, expressing optimism about its positive impact on the country’s tourism sector and overall economic growth.
Romanian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Julia Pataki, remarked that the rapid transformation witnessed in Addis Ababa is almost hard to believe. She noted that the city has undergone notable changes over the past one and a half years, with corridor developments contributing to wider avenues, attractive pedestrian walkways, and green public spaces.

Similarly, Mexican Ambassador Alejandro Ives Estivill Castro stated that the corridor development has not only enhanced the city’s beauty but also created a more convenient and enjoyable environment for residents. He added that the city has become easier and more appealing especially for foreign visitors to navigate, drive in, and explore.

Finland’s Ambassador, Sinikka Antila, also praised the corridor, park, and riverside projects, describing them as impressive and transformative. According to her, these developments are helping make the city a better place to live and enjoy.

Bangladesh’s Ambassador, Air Vice Marshal Sitwat Nayeem, echoed these sentiments, noting that the pace of change is astonishing.

The ambassadors commended the efforts of the city administration, particularly the mayor, in striving to elevate Addis Ababa to international standards, calling the work highly admirable, according to ENA.
