In a message posted on her official social media page, the Mayor said that, in celebration of the 1447th Eid al-Fitr holiday, a meal-sharing program was conducted at all 28 Tesfa Birhan Feeding Centers across the city’s sub-cities for low-income residents, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and other socially vulnerable citizens.
The Mayor has also visited the 6th Tesfa Birhan Feeding Center in Nifas Silk-Lafto Sub-City and the 21st Tesfa Birhan Feeding Center in Kolfe Keranio Sub-City, where she joined in serving meals and extended her warm Eid greetings to the people.
These centers have also been providing fasting meal services during both the Great Lent and the holy month of Ramadan, offering iftar and fasting meals to worshippers in accordance with their respective faith traditions.
Finally, on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Mayor expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the business community, partners, and coordinators who responded to the city’s call and continue to support the feeding centers.
“May this holiday be a time that deepens our joy, strengthens our togetherness, and reinforces our spirit of solidarity,” the Mayor stated.
