As part of his visit to Ethiopia, Norwich City and Canada international of Ethiopian descendant, Ali Ahmed, journeyed to the iconic Entoto Mountainβone of the country’s most celebrated high-altitude training destinations, where generations of legendary Ethiopian distance runners have honed their talent on the road to global success.
During the visit, Ali Ahmed enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of Addis Ababa, paid tribute to Ethiopia’s athletics legends at the mountain’s iconic statues, and toured the newly built stadium atop Entoto.
The visit marked a powerful and inspiring moment as the Canadian international reconnected with his Ethiopian roots and celebrated the rich sporting heritage of the homeland of his parents.
