A significant number of visitors flocked to the Ethiopian pavilion on the second day of Global Village 2025, an event that has played a crucial role in strengthening people-to-people relations between Ethiopia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad showcased the country’s diverse culture, multi-faceted tourism, and centuries-old heritage at the Global Village which has been an annual celebration of cultural diversity, global harmony, and international understanding.
The Global Village was organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bahria University, Islamabad, in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Chalachew Eshetie, Chargé d’Affaires of the Ethiopian Embassy, attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. In a powerful speech, he highlighted the growing bilateral cooperation between the two nations, emphasizing the historical significance of Ethiopia and its shared history with Pakistan. Chalachew also noted the strong commonalities between the two countries regarding tourism and cultural values.
Concluding the event, the Chargé d’Affaires extended his appreciation to Bahria University for their warm welcome and reception of the Ethiopian Embassy Islamabad.
