On his official social media page, the Prime Minister of India described his visit to Ethiopia as truly memorable. He said that he held productive discussions with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on a wide range of issues of mutual interest between the two nations. He also stated that he addressed a joint session of Ethiopia’s House of People’s Representatives and the House of Federation.
The Prime Minister added that the visit had given fresh momentum to India–Ethiopia relations, strengthening a partnership rooted in shared values and a common vision for the future.
Modi further stated that the two nations have elevated their ties to the level of a Strategic Partnership, a move that would greatly benefit both nations.
Concluding his message, Prime Minister Modi expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Ethiopia and thanked Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali for personally welcoming him at Bole International Airport.
