The Addis Ababa City Administration says the Addis Mesob Digital One-Stop Government Service Center is not only resolving longstanding service delivery challenges but is also building a modern institution that enhances public satisfaction and strengthens trust in government services.

Speaking on the achievements recorded during the recently concluded fiscal year, Director General of the Addis Mesob Digital One-Stop Government Service Center, Engineer Desalegn Terefe, said digitalization is helping address the bureaucratic inefficiencies and inconveniences that had long characterized government service delivery.

According to Engineer Desalegn, digitalization has made public services faster and fairer by eliminating time-consuming procedures, preventing the loss of files, and reducing repeated visits by citizens to government offices.

He noted that the government is committed to responding to public demands and has succeeded in replacing outdated administrative practices with a modern, transparent, and more efficient service delivery system.

The Director General said the Addis Ababa City Administration currently operates 11 one-stop service centers and is expanding access to public services through mobile service units.

At present, more than 25 institutions have been integrated into the system, providing over 150 government services. He added that the city plans to further expand accessibility by incorporating additional institutions and increasing both the number and capacity of the service centers.

Engineer Desalegn also stated that the improvements in service delivery are strengthening public confidence, adding that the city is building the institutional capacity needed to sustainably resolve longstanding good governance challenges.

He explained that the one-stop service model is addressing previous delays in public service delivery and concerns over fairness, while providing citizens with faster, more reliable, and more trustworthy government services.
