AMN PLUS-August 18, 2026
Leaders and employees of Addis Media Network (AMN) have left their mark on the 2026 Green Legacy Initiative by planting tree seedlings on Yeka Mountain under the theme, โLet Us Plant Hope.โ
Continuing its annual tradition of planting and caring for seedlings at various locations as part of its environmental protection efforts, AMN has once again actively participated in this yearโs rainy-season Green Legacy Program.

Speaking at the program, AMN Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Tilahun Kassa, said that, beyond providing news and program coverage, the institutionโs employees are playing a leading role in various national development activities and people-centered humanitarian initiatives.
Tilahun recalled that seedlings previously planted at the Gulele Botanical Garden achieved a high survival rate after employees regularly watered and cared for them during the dry season. He affirmed that AMN will continue setting an example by following up on and caring for the seedlings planted on Yeka Mountain.
The Deputy CEO also stated that the media house will go beyond planting seedlings by monitoring their condition through its news and programs and producing reports on their progress.
Ethiopia launched the Green Legacy Initiative in 2019 as a national reforestation program aimed at combating climate change, restoring degraded landscapes, expanding forest cover, and contributing to the development of a climate-resilient economy.
