Addis Ababa city council has begun the formation of a new government and the opening session of the first meeting of the fourth City council.
The council has reappointed Buzena Alkedir as Speaker of the Addis Ababa City Council for the second term in office.
Over the past five years, Buzena has served the city with dedication as the third Speaker of the Addis Ababa City Council.
During the event, it was stated that the speaker has played a key role in advancing the City’s development activities through consistent follow up and oversight.
Following her appointment, the speaker was sworn in and expressed her commitment to fulfilling the mandate entrusted to her by the council.
