Ethiopian civil society organizations have reported that their independent election observation confirms the credibility and success of the country’s 7th General Election.
The Coalition of Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations for Elections (CECOE) said its nationwide deployment of over 3,100 trained observers found the process to be largely transparent, inclusive, and well-organized.
According to the mid-day report, observers were able to access about 99% of polling stations without restriction.
The report also shows strong electoral preparedness, with 97% of polling stations opening on time, 95% staffed with at least three officials, and high levels of inclusion, including women and persons with disabilities in key roles.

Additionally, 96% of polling stations were free from campaign activity, while most facilities ensured accessibility for women, the elderly, and voters with disabilities.
Overall, CECOE concluded that the election process demonstrates strong public trust, institutional transparency, and progress toward a credible and inclusive democratic system in Ethiopia.
