President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Taye Atske-Selassie, said that the 7th General Election has demonstrated in practice that democratic processes can safeguard peace and public well-being while helping the country move away from the long-standing tradition of resolving differences through force.
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) held the official announcement program for the results of the 7th General Election today.
Addressing the event, President Taye congratulated the people of Ethiopia and all stakeholders who participated in the electoral process on the successful completion of the election.
He also expressed appreciation to the National Election Board of Ethiopia for its efforts in registering a large number of voters and deploying qualified election officials across the country.
According to the President, the election served as a practical demonstration that differences can be addressed through peaceful and democratic means, contributing to public peace, stability, and confidence in the electoral process.
