Former United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair has visited the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute.
During the visit, senior officials from the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change held discussions on areas of potential collaboration and future partnership.
The Director General of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, Worku Gachena(PhD), expressed his appreciation for the Tony Blair Institute’s continued support for Ethiopia’s digital transformation journey.
He also noted that the two institutions will further strengthen their collaboration to advance the development and practical application of artificial intelligence technologies in Ethiopia.
Sir Tony Blair, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, emphasized that artificial intelligence is transforming the delivery of government services. He reaffirmed his institute’s full commitment to working closely with the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute to support Ethiopia’s AI development agenda.
According to information obtained from the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, both institutions have agreed to continue working together to promote the development and effective implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in Ethiopia.
