The 20th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day is being celebrated with vibrant and colorful festivities in Hossana, the capital of the Central Ethiopia Regional State, under the theme “Democratic Consensus for National Unity in Diversity.”
This morning, Jimma city, one of the cities in oromia regional state and renowned for its historic role in defending Ethiopia and preserving its proud heritage was officially selected to host the 21st Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Day.
During the ceremony, the President of the Central Ethiopia Regional State, Endeshaw Tassew (PhD), formally handed over Ethiopia’s flag to the President of the Oromia Regional State, Shimelis Abdisa, through the House of Federation.
