In a message shared on his official social media page, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and the Prosperity Party on their decisive victory in Ethiopia’s 7th general elections .
The Prime Minister noted that India deeply values its historic, multifaceted, and longstanding relationship with Ethiopia.
“I fondly recall my visit to Ethiopia last year and look forward to working closely together to further strengthen our Strategic Partnership and the bonds of friendship between our peoples,” Prime Minister Modi said.
The congratulatory message underscores the strong and growing ties between India and Ethiopia, as both countries continue to enhance cooperation across a range of strategic and developmental areas.
